MODEL-EXAMPLE

Often when we hear "example," we think of being an example. However, there is another perspective.

Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do.
                                                       -Philippians 3:17 TNIV

Who is our example? Whose modelling are we following? Do the people we "hang out with" serve as examples that lift us up to be the people we want to do, or do they pull us down?

Bad company corrupts--I think it's one of those old sayings. Paul urges the Philippians, and you and me, to be in good company.
