What is the basis or foundation of our confidence in coming to God?
Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

If God is the one who in Christ is the priest who reunites us with God, it has nothing to do with us, and everything to do with God; God's mercy and grace.
So our confidence is not in us, but in approaching God, it's trusting God, confident in God, not in us. What extraordinarily good news!
