Enjoy Life, Enjoy God

This summer on my motorcycle trip while riding through Yellowstone, we had to take shelter from hail and torrential rain under the front porch roof of a convenience store.  Thank God for refuge.

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision!  For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.  The sun and moon will be darkened, and the stars no longer shine.  The Lord will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem, the earth and the havens will tremble.  But the Lord will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel.
                                                      --Joel 3:14-16 TNIV
The day of the Lord will prove traumatic, but it is boundaried; for surrounding the day of the Lord is God's providence and mercy.  God is our refuge even in the middle of the trauma.

That is true today as well: a stronghold, a refuge "for his people."  Believe it.
