Enjoy Life, Enjoy God

A tenant, let me see if I have this straight, the tenant agrees to live on the property per the previously agreed upon terms between the owner and the tenant.

"But when the tenants saw [the owner's son] they talked the matter over.  'This is the heir,' they said.  'Let's kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.'"
                                                ---Luke 20:14 TNIV
So Jesus tells the story of the Tenants.  They violate their agreement, first refusing to pay, then planning to kill the owner's son.  Jesus knew what he was doing when he told the parable, and the listeners were furious because they knew he was talking about them, or....

Or us?  Friends, we are the tenants.  This is not our land, a case can be made it's not even our lives.  Jesus reminds us, we are tenants, stewards, managers, if you will, of the lives with which we've been blessed.  A very different choice than simply killing the owner's son.
