Building One Another

Dear Friend,

The cherry blossom trees in Washington, DC along the Potomac River were in full bloom this spring with their spectacular show of annual beauty.

I have long thought of the glorious display of flowering trees in the spring and the glory of their many-colored leaves in the fall as God’s fireworks!

On the one hand our lives are brief: “Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away” Psalm 90:10.

On the other hand we are an expression of the beauty of our Lord, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well” Psalm 139:14.

Rejoice in the beauty of creation and allow the beauty and love of our Lord to shine through you. May the expression of God’s fireworks that is you bring joy to those around you!

Joy to you - E. Stanley Ott
