Enjoy Life, Enjoy God

Springing up from the beginning is life. In the first words of the book of Genesis we move immediately to life. When John starts his good news about Jesus' life, in the first words, he moves immediately to life.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; with him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all people.
- John 1:1-4 TNIV

John starts his gospel with words about the beginning, the start of it all. That word for the beginning is "God." The beginning starts with God; that beginning starts with the Word. And we're told that the Word is God; Word=God. That Word creates; it creates life. It's just like Genesis 1 and 2. When the Word does its thing, life happens.

Christians are not people of "The Book," like Jews claim to be. But we are people of "The Word," and that Word is God. And John intends to inform all creation who that Word is.
