Enjoy Life, Enjoy God

My grandfather pitched horseshoes. The goal was a ringer, to get the shoe around the post. But you could also score with a leaner, just touching the post.

"Come," Jesus said to him, "Go; your son will live." The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and started on his way.
--John 4:49,50 NRS

I concede that we may not always be able to throw off our unbelief or doubts, but to be a hardened skeptic, a chronic dis-believer is of no value. The official comes to Jesus and his son is dying. He asks Jesus to help, and Jesus says he will. Not only does the official believe, here's the key, he "started on his way." Big deal? You bet! He leaned into belief; he started acting on his faith. He was a leaner in the best way.

Today, start on the way. Lean into belief and following Jesus' word.
