INDEPENDENT OPERATOR

While we are born into families, quickly, most of us humans learn to be independent operators. We do our own thing, and we assume that's the way we all live.

So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will realize that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own, but I speak these things as the Father instructed me."
- John 8:28 NRS

But Jesus was not an independent operator. Jesus perfectly aligned himself with his father's will. So when he did something, especially, when he said something, it was as if from the lips of his father.

The staggering truth is that as people look for God, or want to know God's will, we need look no farther than the Son, Jesus Christ. "I and the father are one!"
