Enjoy Life, Enjoy God

John's Gospel is theologically and logically inter-connected. Meaning if you embrace Thought A, then Thought B follows, and then Thought C. Everything's connected.

"Very truly I tell you, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me; and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me."
- John 13:20 TNIV

Do you see the connection? To accept the one sent is to accept Jesus, and to accept Jesus is to accept the original "sender." It's a theological chain of belief. It's a repeated offering throughout this gospel. To be excited about Jesus is to be excited about the things Jesus is excited about. To love God is to love the things God loves, in other words, the Son!

I have an invitation for you, and a challenge. What if you spend the next several weeks, just five or ten minutes every day or so, reading through this Gospel of John? As you do, take note of such connectedness. It happens over and over again. What do the connections teach us about God, Jesus, and our faith? How do the connections invite us to grow as disciples?
