Enjoy Life, Enjoy God

The human quest for God, anthropologists tell us, is a universal. One way or other, people look for God.

"But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.."
- John 14:26 TNIV

The Holy Spirit is called the Counselor, and here, the Advocate, yet by any other name it is "God with us." Paraclete is the word in the original language, "one who comes alongside." Jesus assures his followers that the search for God's presence, whether we feel it or not, is over through faith in him. We now have an advocate, a guide, one who goes alongside us in all we do.

To be sure, we may not always be aware of God's presence, but God is there nevertheless. "Surely I am with you..." (Matthew 28:20)
