The baseball-love movie, "Field of Dreams" whispers “people will come." So if the crazy farmer builds a baseball diamond in a cornfield, people will flock to watch the games. Nothing new! We people flock to fascination and fads all the time.

In the last days the mountain of the Lord's temple will be established as the highest of the mountains, it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it. Many peoples will come...
- Isaiah 2:2,3 TNIV

The prophet foresees a day when the people flock to God, and to the mountain of the Lord. That does not seem to be what's happening today, at least in these United States. Yet Isaiah sees it coming to pass: people will come. To be sure, Isaiah knows how fickle we people can be, flocking to baseball fields, to celebs, to the hot trends, but he knows a day comes when they will come to the Lord.

So he ends with a question: "Stop trusting in human beings, who have but a breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem?" (Isa 2:22) Make it a point today to flock to the mountain of the Lord.
