No, not overtime, but Old Testament. Some say the Old Testaments, like from the Book of Isaiah have no authority over New Testament people, Christians. However...

Therefore, though you set out the finest plants and plant imported vines, though on the day you set them out, you make them grow...yet the harvest will be as nothing in the day of disease and incurable pain.
- Isaiah 17:10,11 TNIV

Old Testament, yes, but not the Word of God? Be careful!
--We believe in God who is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
--We see glimpses of our present in the past.
--We learn of the people of God and God's dealing with his people...
people who look and live much like us.

Isaiah speaks God's Word to a people who speak a good deal of God, but his words challenge them; they have all but forgotten obeying and following God. God is a rabbit's foot for them, not their Lord. That's a good word for us to hear, isn't it?
Joyfully,
