GREETINGS

As a young salesperson several decades ago in the streets and businesses of Chicago people didn't greet one another. They often even refused to make eye contact. Self-defense? Introversion? Busy? What?

Everyone with me sends you greetings. Greet those who love us in the faith. Grace be with you all.
                                               - Titus 3:15 TNIV

Why some people are reluctant to greet others, I don't know. But Paul tells us, it is a grace we give one another. It's a good thing. My mother tried to teach her children to write notes periodically to friends and family, or in other words, greetings. Bless me, I married a woman who does this very thing.

Paul concludes the Letter to Titus with a summons to be a greeting people. To be people not given to cursing, but to blessing others...so, grace be with you all this day and forevermore.
