Where is God not in charge? In the Revelation we even read of a war in heaven.

And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.
                                                - Revelation 12:7,8 TNIV

The vision of heavenly war ends with the dragon and host thrown down to the earth; again the vision notes the havoc that wreaks our world as John's vision continues. But where is God not in charge? Remember the songs; ignore them and be left with nothing but despair. Yet listen to them sing:

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:  "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah." (12:10)

God is present even in the havoc and suffering. The dragon does not triumph or have the last word.
