Enjoy Life, Enjoy God

I'm talking about being picky, not a hair-care problem.  Sometimes people try to weasel around the call of the gospel.  Jesus won't mess with splitting hairs.

Then Jesus said to them, "Give back to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's."

                                                  - Mark 12:17 TNIV

So a group of religious weasels approach Jesus with a hair-splitting question in the guise of whether to pay taxes to Rome or not.  Truly the intention was not about honoring God or Caesar, but about trying to trap Jesus.  Jesus gives his famous answer.
The implications of discipleship are straightforward.  Jesus' call to follow him and honor God with our lives--that was true 2000 years ago when a few people tried to avoid the call of the gospel and it's true to today.  There is no hair-splitting when it comes to following Jesus.  Let us give our whole hearts to him today, and follow.
