NOT GOD!

Someone protests, "Well, I'm not God!" And of course that person's protest is true. However...

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had...

However, while we are not God, we do have more capacity than we often demonstrate. The Spirit of Christ indwelling each believer gives us the opportunity to have the "same attitude of mind...that Christ Jesus had."

It could be that the protest, "I'm not God!" is more a rationalization of our mediocrity, whereas it could be our prayer. "God work your Spirit in me that I see the world around me, that I interact with the world around me as you do. Have mercy on me, Lord Jesus. Amen."
