WAKE-UP CALL

I'm writing this ELEG from my hotel room, having received a "wake up call." How coincidental, because the next thing I did was read these words:
And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.
--Romans 13:11,12 TNVI
Paul reminds us that another day has passed, and history is moving forward whether we heed this truth or not. And it's time for Christ-followers to live that way. We cannot live co-existing with dark behavior and the people of the light. He issues a wake up call.
In doing so, he ends with these words: "Clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature." And so we end.
