WHO MAY?

October 5, 2011

The Psalmist asks the question: "Lord, who may dwell in your sanctuary?  Who may live on your holy mountain?" (Psalm 15:1)

Those whose walk is blameless, who do what is righteous, who speak the truth from their hearts,
who have no slander on their tongues, who do their neighbors no wrong, who cast no slur on others;
who despise those whose ways are vile but honor whoever fears the Lord; who keep their oaths even when it hurts;
who lend money to the poor without interest and who do not accept brides against the innocent.

--Psalm 15:2-5 TNIV

"Whoever does these things will never be shaken." (5)  Pretty intimidating list, yes?  It seems I'm pretty much disqualified, and I think you are too, except for one thing: the good news of Jesus Christ.  So...

What we could not accomplish on our own, Christ has graced us with this gift.  So, we can still aspire, pray to be the person the Psalmist considers.

Joyfully,
