PAY IT FORWARD

The movie "Pay It Forward" tells the story of a grace given to a person, and in essence, go do likewise. It's a Hollywood script, but it's at least 2000 years older, it's the good news of Jesus.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Paul breaks into the good news about Jesus having pointed out humanity's need for the good news. Long prior to our giving any thought to God, even when we were set on resisting God's way and God's Word, God has been loving us. God's act of love in Jesus Christ is the greatest gift ever given, and discipleship...well...

"Therefore since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ... (5:1)" Now live in that grace, pay it forward as Christ followers. That's the thrust of the remainder of Paul's Letter to the Romans, and our lives in Christ.
