Enjoy Life, Enjoy God

To be established is to be on a firm basis; it's linked to the root word, "stable."

Now to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel, the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ.  In keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to faith and obedience--to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ!  Amen.
                                                     --Romans 16:25-27 TNIV
The very last words of the Letter to the Romans: And what is it?  That we be "established."  The stability of which Paul prays and blesses us with is not so much financial stability, emotional stability--but a foundation on the firm rock of a solid faith in Christ alone.  We are distracted by other establishments.  Ultimately there are none, but only one, Jesus Christ.  Death proves this truth every time!
On what are we seeking for stability?  What if our prayer-life were changed for us and others to simply: "Lord, grant me to rest not for a moment until I'm established according to your gospel in you alone"--sound like a prayer for a lifetime?
