I AM FOR YOU Vol 11 No 9

Dear Friend,
Imagine saying to a friend, “Whatever good or difficult thing that is happening in my life is for you – for your trust in Jesus and for your well-being.” In our “it’s all about me” age, such a comment might feel counter intuitive. Given that, read these amazing words of the Apostle Paul:
“If we are being afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation; if we are being consoled, it is for your consolation, which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we are also suffering.” II Corinthians 1:6*
So Jesus who said, “For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve,” continued to serve people through Paul just as Jesus does through you and me today.
We use the term “people eyes” to describe the eyes of Jesus that see people as they really are with the needs they really have. The heart inclination of “people eyes” is the affirmation that “I am for you.”

May the Holy Spirit give you the eyes to see the people in your life through the eyes of Jesus and the will to communicate to these people, “I am for you! Everything that is happening in my life is for your encouragement.”
