A yoke is the tool of a horse to help it do its work, and may link it to a team-mate, a helper so that the work is teamed with another.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
                                                       --Matthew 11:28-30 TNIV
As Christ-followers, we have a yoke upon us, in other words, we have some work to do, work, like life, like discipleship.  But, we are told the yoke is not heavy, but light.  We are partnered with a helper.  Next to us, our teammate is none other than Jesus.

Jesus asks us to do nothing today that he does not team with us to accomplish.  Let us open our eyes to the ever-present yoke-fellow, Jesus Christ.
