Jesus' adversaries confront him again on a technicality about divorce.  "Moses says divorce was okay, right?"  Jesus' answer is not only about divorce, but also about understand the nature of God's Word and God's grace.  It's as if Jesus says, "No, Moses didn't say divorce is okay!  But due to the sorry shape of the human heart, divorce was given to offer the possibility of redemption, a fresh start."

Sometimes God condescends to us goofed up people; never is it an anything goes matter, but it's toward redemption, mercy, and a do-over.  We must never twist God's condescension toward us to become a carte blanche for anything goes.  Grace is unto righteousness.
