Not "God's," a contraction, like, God-is, but that indicating possession, it belongs to God.

They brought him a denarius, and he asked them, "Whose image is this?  And whose inscription?"
"Caesar's," they replied.
Then he said to them, "Give back to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's."

Let's focus on the central matter, what is God's and what is Caesar's, or more important, what is ours?

We are taught early in our lives to use the word, "mine," as if it really IS mine.  In this famous conversation, Jesus invites us to examine what is "mine," and what is "God's."  So when you hear, "This is my life," what's true about that, and what is not?
