Enjoy Life, Enjoy God

Little children learn peak-a-boo, one moment it's not there, and the next, it's there. Peak-a-boo, it's about revelation.

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech...
                                                    Psalm 19:1,2 TNIV

Most all of us understand this kind of revelation, this "peak-a-boo," when we see some magnificent vista, the mountains of Colorado snow-capped glistening in the sunset, and we say, "Surely there is a god." The Psalmist says, the mountains, nature declares, reveals God!

That is a category theologians sometimes call general revelation; nature revealing. But we could look at the mountains for a lifetime and never learn of the hope we have in Jesus Christ and our redemption; that's special revelation. Nevertheless, these two peak-a-boos and we learn of the glory of God and our hope.
