UNDER-BELIEVE

We know the word, "hypodermic," as in needle, when we get a shot; the needle goes under the skin; hypo(under) dermis(skin). So what is hypo-crisy?

"But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach."
                                                 --Matthew 23:3 TNIV

Jesus teaches about hypocrisy, hypo(under) crisy/credo(believe), under-believe. In other words claiming the importance of belief, but not living it, under-believing, hypocrisy.

Hypocrisy is not so much the failure to reach our commitments, but the presumption of religious devotion with no real devotion to live it. That's fake, empty religion, that's under-believing, and a dangerous way of life.
